Is it just me or does it feel like days of the week don’t matter when you are on holiday?! I mean, I usually keep track of the days because of my schedule but days don’t actually hold as much value as they do when not on holiday! ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜€ Like the Blues Monday! or Thrifty Thursday and then the obvious TGIFriday ๐Ÿ˜‰

I don’t know if it’s only me but that’s what I feel anywho! ๐Ÿ˜†

#1- My Nike Leggings that I purchased, They are AMAAAAZZZING! woohoo ๐Ÿ˜€ They fit like a glove, they are super comfy, they look amazing on and are super duper-Like a crazy trooper, flattering ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜† As a girl, let’s not pretend like we don’t all wanna look somewhat good at the gym! hehehe, well I do anyways- That doesn’t mean full blown make-up or anything but I couple boys I know go to my gym, so I want to look presentable ๐Ÿ˜‰

#2- Almond Milk- yes this baby is on my fav list! Tomorrow I am going to attempt making my own Almond Milk hehehe, yes you read right! and it is going to be spectacular I tell you, Almond breeze won’t have a thing on this girl ๐Ÿ˜‰ I found the recipe I shall use on ‘Oh She Glow’s’ website-(http://ohsheglows.com/2013/01/24/my-favourite-homemade-almond-milk-step-by-step-photos/) but I’m going to tweek it and use stevia to sweeten it and vanilla essence for that vanilla-my-nilla flava-flaaav! and use a strainer instead of a nut mylk bag-because I don’t have one(Yet, if this experiment is a success, I will convince mum to invest in one!) ๐Ÿ˜‰

#3- My Workout yesterday, I wasn’t feeling it AT ALL and was on the verge of leaving literally 5mins after arriving but embarrassment stopped me from doing that – Am I the only one who is totally freaked out by being seen leaving the gym straight after arriving? Hehe, I just caaaaan’t! But t’was actually a pretty good workout ๐Ÿ˜€ LOL

#4- Vikings!ย I mean, I know it’s a bit Violent and gruesome but it’s also spectacularly interesting has a beautiful story line, setting, amazing characters(I would marry crazy blue-eyed Ragnar! โค ) hehe weird yes, true though Hellz yeah!

 

#5- Smoothies and Tea as per usual! I just loooove the 2 and my week wouldn’t be complete without Tea and smoothies! Johannesburg-20140411-01018

Thrusday Thoughts-Thinking out loud #1

Anybody else been jamming to that new song? ๐Ÿ˜† I have anyways! hehe, since hearing it, it’s BEEN on replay in my head so when I look at people all I can hear is “Let Me Take A Selfie” what is this ๐Ÿ˜ฏ ๐Ÿ˜€ LOL

So this is my first Thinking out loud- courtesy of the lovely Amanda@ runningwithspoons ๐Ÿ™‚

1- I just realized in my WIAW post I talk about this product called Nuun but I don’t explain what it is :shy: teehee! Brunette syndrome, my mind works faster than my fingers so I thought I already elaborated on it ๐Ÿ˜‰ Well Nuun is like this rehydration tablet that you pop into your bottle/glass of water, it fizzes for a bit and infuses flavour into the water and contains all this electrolytes and what-not! The flavour I picked was really average and not at all that tasty so that’s why I gave it a pass but I am willing to try it again- Maybe a different flavour?

2- It is suppose to be Springย in South Africa but instead it feels like Winter! Can I get a ‘Global Warming’ Much? ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

3- I watched the Escape plan last night with my familia and t’was awesome! I was bit apprehensive about Sylvester and Arnold but waahaay I thought it was soo kick-ass ๐Ÿ˜† don’t judge till you watch it- what I learned last night ๐Ÿ˜‰

4- I made an amazing kiwi-nana smoothie this morning- it was de-li-cious ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜† :-p

5- I love tea.

6- I’m on holiday now but my English teacher(as well as all my other teachers) advised us to do some revision and work during the holidays..so guess what I did…our English task, read over what we were suppose to read over for Life Orientation(the point was? :confused: is what I thought!) it feels good to be productive!

7- Nike makes the best motivational video’s! like OH-MA-BABY-GANDHI they are good ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

8- These are fun, I like talking bumbly-bee random stuff ๐Ÿ˜€

9- Went to gym with my sister today, it was quite eventful..it was her first time back to gym in like a year ๐Ÿ˜† she exclaimed that a)-She needs to stop smoking and b)-She nearly died, I comforted her and said “If it don’t hurt, you aint doing it right’- exactly like that ๐Ÿ˜† !

10- I am soo excited to see The Amazing Spider man this weekend! aaah I’m an obsessed fan ๐Ÿ˜€

Hey Hey Guys!

Phwa life has been busy, like really busy! I finished writing pre-prelims and on Wednesday we get our results-eeek! I’m praying to baby Gandhi I did well as I enter university on these results for temporary acceptance…so if Iman doesn’t do well she doesn’t get to go to the University she wants to go to ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Speaking of University, I’ve been filling out my University applications and once I get my report on Wednesday I can send them through-woohoo! ๐Ÿ˜€Randburg-20140414-01020I’ve been up to the usual though i.e School work, copious amounts of tea, gym and shopping ๐Ÿ˜‰

Actually on Saturday I had a mother-daughter day and went shopping! t’was super super fun! and lovely to spend some time with my mum ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve been doing Les Mills for a couple weeks now at the gym and it’s awesome! I do Body Pump, Body Combat, Grit Strength and Shibam! I’ve really been enjoying the change in my workout routine and I’m getting kick-ass muscle definition ๐Ÿ˜‰

What else is new is the situation I am in…friends with benefits…I’m sure you guys know what that is so I don’t exactly have to explain it! ๐Ÿ˜€ It’s not a ‘new’ situation per say.. but it has now been officially ‘defined’ and it works for me to be honest! Him and I are great friends, besties really(no this isn’t the guy I went to the matric dance with!) and we have so many things in common but I don’t see the point in dating so this is what we’ve decided to do. The only thing is, I’m TERRIFIED of hurting him or getting hurt even-What do you guys think of the whole FWB(friends with benefits)?

I’m sooo excited for this weekend, I’m going to be having a proper fun weekend filled with friends, good music and a hella fun! teehee ๐Ÿ˜€

I tried out Almond Breeze Vanilla and Almond Breeze Chocolate last week..Oh my BABAY GANDHI! it adds a whole new dimension to breakfast, absolutely scrumptious and addictive! it is pricey though but uugh it’s yummy! ๐Ÿ˜€

I need to find a job soon for the holidays, I like to keep busy so I need something productive to do and it’s an added bonus that I’ll be getting cash!

I also found out I sometimes don’t have a filter! CRINGE# the little imanies in my mind work faster than my mouth so sometimes I just blurt whatever is being intellectually produced! for example: On Sunday I took my lil bro and his friend to get a take-away drink from this joint called ‘Dopio Zero’ and one of the staff there accidentally tripped and hit my lil brothers friend’s ass ๐Ÿ˜ฎ and she was so embarrassed and started apologising and what-not and I was like ‘haha! it’s chilled! just a lil grab there huh ;)’..now bear in mind this lady was like 50 years old and my lil bro’s friend is 16….hahaha! she literally cringed and ‘her face was like ‘! hahaha, it was pretty awkward but I laughed my awkwardness off anyways..as perusal!

I really need to be more mindful of the things I say ๐Ÿ˜€

Why hello, hello you guys! Excuse the absence of my posts, It’s been a hectic school week with hectic tests and projects buut the week is done(sort of, I have rehearsals on sunday! IKR!)

But my week was filled with an abundant supply of highlights! so don’t stress ๐Ÿ˜‰

Highlights! Well to start off with I had a kick-ass gym session, I wasn’t too motivated but once I got there I really got into it and took my first ‘phone’ selfie that I’m actually using! ๐Ÿ˜€ how embarrassing! I did cardio and then a total body workout, something like this-Courtesy of Tone It Up(http://toneitup.com/)ย 

I also enjoyed many cups of tea! and my mums friend came back from her venture in India bearing gifts, specifically this really amazing Tulsi Ginger tea and it is delicious! it’s also organic- how amazing! It’s packed full of flavour, no jokes!

Those apples, yeah green are my favourite apples like ever! I added some PB2 to them, simply a spoonful of PB2 with water, mix and pour- best tasting snack eveeer! ๐Ÿ˜€ try it! you will thank me ๐Ÿ˜‰

I got some of my tests back, and I was pleasantly happy! All is well that Ends well right! Also last night I had rehearsals till LATE but what was a highlight in those rehearsals was the fact that my scene went soo well! ALMOST flawless with no mishaps, I was chuffed like a baby in a pram! ๐Ÿ˜€ T’was really really awesome!

Stayed up till 1am finishing off my homework as these rehearsals take up SO much of my time, but the Production is next week so I can’t wait till it’s OVER ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜‰ I might just pull out my MJ moves

Sheperds Pie! yes I made good’ol sheperds pie but I pimped it out and made it vegan! it turned out amazing, with a few changes of course! like a dash of that BBQ Indian spice mix I mentioned before ๐Ÿ™‚

Recipe; adapted from Fat Free Vegans ‘Skillet gardener’s pie’.(http://blog.fatfreevegan.com/2008/05/skillet-gardeners-pie.html)

And this is my take on it!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 head of cauliflower
  • 1/2 cup soy milk (or other non-dairy milk)
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 can of ready cleaned and cooked lentils(in water)
  • 1/3 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 carrot, diced
  • 2 ribs celery, diced, leaves minced and reserved
  • 2 cups fat-free vegetable broth
  • 1 handful of green beans, cut and washed
  • 2 teaspoons fresh rosemary, minced (or 1 tsp. dried)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried sage
  • 2 tablespoons water (or veg. broth)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Arrowroot
  • extra rosemary for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse the cauliflower head and cut it up into small chunks, add it to a pot over a stove and cover with water. Bring to a boil and simmer untilย cauliflowerย is tender.ย  Place in a large bowl, add the non-dairy milk, and mash until smooth, Add salt and freshly ground pepper to taste and set aside in a warm place.
  2. While theย cauliflowerย is cooking, make the โ€œpieโ€ filling. Heat a large non-stick or cast iron skilletย  on a medium-high burner and add the onions. Sautรฉ until onions are translucent. Add the garlic, carrots, celery, and sautรฉ for 3 more minutes.
  3. Add the vegetable broth,lentils, green beans, and herbs. Simmer on medium heat forย 15-20 minutes and preheat the oven to 180’c whilst they do.
  4. Once Veggies are tender,ย Add salt and pepper to taste (I added my BBQ spice here! ๐Ÿ˜‰ ).
  5. Add the Arrowroot and stir until it had thickened
  6. Place in an oven safe dishย and top with the cauliflower mash
  7. Place it in the over on 180’c for about 5 mins until it is golden and crispy
  8. remove and transfer into a bowl(like mine!) if so desired ๐Ÿ™‚
  9. Enjoy!

How easy is that recipe! and it’s delicious, nutritious and healthy! ๐Ÿ™‚

Let’s just reflect once more on how PB2 is a gift from the yummy heavens! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hello All!

So, Today is Saturday-my side ๐Ÿ˜‰ and I have a combo of fun and stu(dying) planned! woop woop!

Plans for the day include buying new make-up and a slight bit of grocery shopping! woohoo ๐Ÿ˜€ I love shopping, I have no idea why, I just dig it! Going to the phone store to see when I can get my upgrade! why? because CrackBerry sucks :/ย  worst phone ever! sorry all crackberry lovers/users if they are any out there still -_-

My day started off with: All Bran Flakes(obvies, it’s my crack! :D!) and an pear-apple combo- Sorry no picture, I forgot ๐Ÿ˜€ and then I’ve had copious cups of tea! teehee(remembered to picture the tea though!)
